Schools associated with the Uniting Church
There are a number of independent schools throughout Victoria and Tasmania that are associated with the Uniting Church, usually as a result of the schools being founded by members of the Uniting Church or its predecessor denominations. While the Uniting Church Synod does not operate or govern these schools, the Synod works with the schools to encourage them to be places where young people might encounter spiritual growth, service to humanity and the wider environment, social justice and inclusiveness/openness that celebrates difference.
There are 12 schools that are directly associated with the Synod of Victoria and Tasmania (links to these school’s websites can be found below) and a number of others that have other forms of association, such as ecumenical association in collaboration with other Christian denominations. Three schools across several campuses are located within Port Phillip East Presbytery. We value their significant contribution to our communities and seek to be in relationship with them.

Other Schools
Within the presbytery are many primary and secondary schools and colleges, and our congregations have significant relationships with many of them. We plan to add details about some of these connections here.
Beacon Hills College
Beacon Hills is a Christian College with campuses in Pakenham and Berwick. Rev Steve Terrell is a Uniting Church minister in a chaplaincy role at the College.
Brentwood Secondary College
Brentwood SC is situated in Glen Waverley. Rod Dungan has been the School Chaplain at Brentwood since 2004 . He is a valued member of the Student Well-being team.
